Bald Canyon Eaglet Back on Nest!

24 April 2022

A big shout out to Nicole from the IWS and her team. It took them only 30 minutes to locate and hydrate the eaglet and get it back on the nest! They even brought in some new baby rails and placed them.

Thank you Dr Sharpe and your team for caring!

Fantastic! Thank you for letting us know about this rescue. I watched Nicole re-nest the eaglet and so thankful for Dr. Sharpe and team. That nest needs even more baby rails!!

Also, I have sent messages to USFW and TWRA regarding Dale Hollow situation. Praying someone will allow help.

    1. First, thank you, Cindy for taking the time to send messages. Hundred if not thousands have done so and surely with the news coverage and the images today of the two eaglets tethered together at the talons someone will do something. I know that people say that things cannot be done but it isn’t it worth a try to save those two babies? We wait and hope that the right thing will be done. If not, I would encourage everyone to stop watching that nest and giving any revenue to DH.

    1. Absolutely. I hope the donations poured in…that was just the smoothest rescue ever. 30 minutes from arrival, prep, finding, feeding eaglet, and getting it up even with new rails. Pros that love the wildlife. Just brought tears to my eyes after the horror of Dale Hollow.

Hope we can get the rescue for the DH eaglets too🙏
