Lena and the Catfish – late Saturday at Captiva

16 April 2022

It is so much better in video. Lena just had her bath and returned with a fish. There are two ravenous Osplets! She lands on the nest with a Gafftopsail Catfish! This is at 17:42:31.

Enjoy.

Make sure you have your volume turned up!

This was just too funny not to share.

It has been a great day. Dr Sharpe rescued the youngest of the West End Eaglets that fell off the nest and got the camera running again at the West End nest of Thunder and Akecheta. The three osplets have eaten and eaten at the Gainesvlle Osprey nest. Life is good.

Thank you so much for joining me. Take care everyone. See you soon.

Thank you to Captiva Ospreys and Window to Wildlife for their streaming cam where I took my screen captures and video clips.

The moderator on the Captiva Osprey chat identified the adult osprey with the catfish as Lena who has had a bath and looks like Andy when she is soakng wet. Apologies for any confusion. I wanted to correct this!
