Good Morning Melbourne…Early Monday in Bird World

24 August 2026

Good Morning Everyone,

The first egg has been laid at 367 Collins Street in Melbourne. The cameras are now live!

Here’s the link to the camera: https://www.youtube.com/live/oibsohQ14cY?si=e0sKmsNnKzIj5jJY

We have the first egg at Port Lincoln yesterday!

The sea eaglets are doing well after the scare with the fish hook at the Olympic Park WBSE nest in Sydney.

We are waiting for Gimbir and Diamond.

Beautiful Diamond.

Opreys are trying to fatten up in the Northern Hemisphere to make their migration to their winter homes. Storks are on the move as well as all the other raptors and songbirds.

Shadow and Kaydee are becoming more familiar. It’s stick-moving time, captured by SK Hideaways. https://youtu.be/6BVc4os6MOU?

That is just a morning glimpse of what is happening in Bird World. SW Florida should be seeing its first egg and hatch by Christmas! Wonder what will happen at Big Bear? And when will Gabby arrive? And then we have the Channel Islands!

Take care everyone. See you soon.

Thank you to all the owners of the streaming cams and to SK Hideaways for their videos. Check out the others by SK Hideaways – there are some beautiful chortels between Shadow and Kaydee.
