This is the best news!!! We are always cheering for Iris and we too are over the moon. Thank you for this and all of your updates!! We have many Osprey nests on the north shore of Boston and today our first hummingbird of the season arrived. We are hoping that all works out for Iris this season! We are so lucky to have views into the lives of all the raptors we watch and all of our backyard birds! We are still waiting for the arrival of more migrants. It’s such a great time of the year!

    1. Hi Joanne, Thank you so much for reaching out! Isn’t it marvellous what we can discover in our own back yards, including ospreys! Keep in touch if you know what is happening at those osprey nests. I hope they have plenty of fish.

Iris. Isn’t she incredible? I wondered if we would ever get to see her raise another chick. Sum-eh and Antali were so very special. Let’s hope NewGuy2 is half as good at fishing as Iris is, and those babies will thrive. We will be sitting on the edge of our seats as hatch approaches.

It is a wonderful time of year and we are so fortunate. So glad you are out in nature and listening to birdsong. It elevates our lives.
